Stephan Brun, 32 years old, grown up and currently living in Switzerland. Master’s degree in Economics and History

“When I was living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, during a little bit more than a year, working in a project for street children, I started questioning myself about my real motives to work in the south. As many people, who have made a similar experience, I became quite sceptical about the unintended effects of the current foreign-aid industry. Yet, I don’t want to remain disenchanted and turn back to my former life with this feeling. As an optimistic person I want to search another way of cooperation between the north and the south. I am convinced that in the future, all societies will sit together at the same table on the same eye level. The fact that this is not yet true just means that we still have not found the right way of working together.”

Zinare Mamo. 46 years old born in southern part of Ethiopia and grown up there. Currently living in Addis Ababa, capital city of Ethiopia. Diploma in Educational Administration, Bachelor degree in business Administration with minor of community Development &Masers degree in Business Administration.
"In my previous assignment I have been working for the last twenty five years as teacher, school head master, Education & hostel department coordinator, project Administrator, project coordinator, vice president, Administration & finance department head, General secretary, Human resource Manager & Financial management specialist in different NGO’s, Government & Faith based organizations.
While I am working in different organizations on different position in Ethiopia I became conscious that most of the organizations try to make people independent in their life. But many of them fail.
I realized that the difference between the poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country, does not reside in the available natural resources, race or skin colour are also not important, the difference is the attitude of the people, framed along the years by the education and the culture.
I have a dream to be an Entrepreneur over years to release myself from dependency & being independent person. Then, I decided to assist my people to be also independent in their life. I am inviting brothers & sisters from Ethiopia & over sea countries let us work cooperatively hand in hand together & contribute toward the creation of the world being a planet of peace & prosperity where people are living in harmony & helping each other with the spirit of brother hood & narrow the span of living between north and south."
